DS will be 16 months at Christmas. He has absolutely no need of any more toys as my family went completely overboard got him quite a bit for his birthday Blush so I'm planning on getting him some sort of "learning" or "role play" stuff this christmas.

(I hope you don't mind me posting this but hopefully some of you will get some inspiration if you're stuck, it took me ages to think of anything he'd be interested in and I used a lot of older threads for ideas)

Xmas eve hamper will have the obligatory jimjams and probably a copy of the jolly Christmas postman.

Stocking
New socks & vests
New flannel and toothbrush.
New dummies
A couple of those little plastic animals you can get from ELC
Chocolate coins or a bag of chocolate buttons

Under the tree presents
Crayons
Pencil case (for the crayons obviously) :o
Either a colouring book, if I can find one I like (I'm very particular about the paper!) or a blank pad of paper.
This book
Orchard Toys snap cards
An orchard toys jigsaw
Beatrix Potter boxset and a disney DVD - part of a little tradition we started so that eventually we will have all the classic childrens books and all our favourite dvds to replace my old video tapes!
A little brush/mop set so he leaves mine alone (and I can train him to sweep up properly Wink)
Dolls pram - probably this ELC one in the vain hope he will stop insisting on pushing his own pram into the road.
Maybe a baby doll of his own as he's currently using my old doll and I fear for the welfare of the dolls eyes in the hands of my very inquisitive toddler!

However, I have a couple of requests for help on finding stuff from you wonderful mumsnetters!

Firstly, if anyone knows where to find a copy of The Snowman on DVD with the David Bowie intro instead of the modern one I'd be eternally grateful!!!

And also, I like the idea of something to make the pre-bedtime bath a bit special but ds has eczema and the normal stuff like bath bombs/bubble bath will irritate his skin. Can anyone think of anything I could do instead?

Plus, any more suggestions for little stocking fillers would be very welcome Wink

Ooo I'm really starting to feel all Christmassy!

Check out the imagination tree blog for fun baths. Just google. She uses food colouring and essential oils so a purple dyed bath with lavender or green with menthol etc. Only small amounts of natural stuff would that be okay?

In the bath we have a letter box stuck to the side and DS posts letters and foam ABC letters into it (he is now 4 but been doing this for over 18m). i think that was a postman pat toy.
Also loads of bath toys, seen one at friend's house with an octopus and lots of squirters on it, Tomy octopal, seen it for less than £10 on amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Tomy-2756-Octopals-Bath-Toy/dp/B0007D7O22/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319234057&sr=8-1&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Lush do a baby bath bomb which is full of natural eczema friendly ingredents. I got one for Ds2 las Christmas eve and his skin was fine, not itchy or sore at all. This OS a child who I've known to scream in the shower that the water hurts.

Also at this age, the fun is making Santa a snack, sprinkling magic reindeer food on the step, (oats and glitter) and listening for the sound of jingle bells.

I bought a lovely Christmas colouring book from the book people a few years ago, but a plain pad of paper would probably be fine, your DS will only scribble over it anyway.

Dd will be 15months. She isn't getting that much bless her because she has all her older brothers old toys to get.

I did get her a circus tent from ikea which was pretty cool.

Also, you can get halos and horns bath stuff in tesco etc - ds has always been fine with that.

What about an aquadoodle? I am getting one between my two.

Other tocking fillers I've thought of:
Mini instruments
Little chunky train
Playfood
Pretend mobile
Pretend remote
Small ragdoll / soft toy
