Good find for those doing homemade treats as gifts.
(6 Posts)Whilst lurking in the kitchen section of TK Maxx earlier I spotted some great boxes that would be perfect to give as gifts to be filled with whatever homemade goodies you are making.
They were round, about 10 inches tall and beautifully decorated with festive gingerbread men, candy canes etc and the ones I got said 'yummy christmas' on top. Best bit was that inside there is a sealable plastic bag to keep cookies, truffles etc fresh. The label actually advertised them as 'beautiful presentatoj boxes for your festive treats' They had two different designs, one good for adults and one more child orientated.
They were only £3.99 and I've never seen anything like them before so thought I would mention it incase anyone else was looking as I know it's hard to find things to put gifts like that in. They would also be good for anyone doing Xmas eve treat boxes for kids etc.
Disclaimer: I don't work for TK maxx!!
Which TK Maxx?
I was in Bedford one- sorry not much use if you are in scotland I know
Thank you pink. I whooshed down to TK Maxx this morning- they didn't have the boxes you got but they did have in HomeSense (basically TKMaxx stuff but only homewear)
I got 2 lovely big rectangular, lidded boxes with snowmen on, ideal for my DCs Christmas Eve Hampers.
TKMaxx had Christmas boxes shaped like a book which would be ideal for cards and keepsakes.
(I was going to cover 2 cardboard boxes with wrapping paper, lined with tissue and wrapped with cellophane. But these are much nicer. Result!)
Actually, having read your post again, Homesense had the gingerbread man boxes.
But I bought the biggest boxes (greedy cah emoticon)
I think they were £7 or £8.
Glad it was useful- the rectangular ones sound good too-might have to go back!
