Hestons Orange Xmas Pudding was like gold dust last Christmas and one even sold on ebay for £200! Apparently Waitrose have bought 3 times as many as last year. Whilst shopping yesterday I noticed them at the tills so thought I'd get one to try this Christmas. Not sure if they're any good but fancied a try after all the hype last year and thought some of you may also be interested.

DD and I have a free morning this morning. I'm so temoted to go and see if my local waitrose has any...

Tesco are doing a pudding with a glace clementine in the middle this year too

Waitrose also had Heston's mini Christmas puddings with a clementine in for £3.49.

I made a special trip to our Waitrose this morning and they didn't have any Christmas puddings in at all Sad

It's not a very big one though so maybe they're waiting till the Halloween stuff is out of the way?

Got mine yesterday - ha! Ours is a whopping big waitrose though, so they have started their Christmas displays.
I'm tempted to go and get another today .

Is his pudding really worth getting can you tell me? There's only 5 people who eat Christmas pud in our house on the day, so should I still succumb? He is doing a smaller - clementine - one this year too, so debating going for two of those instead.

Sorry, I have no idea how good it is...but I pretty much love all Christmas puds!!

I did look at my local waitrose today and they had none left so imagine they will probably sell quite quickly again this year.

We had a couple last year. They were okay, nice but not amazing, nothing to warrant the massive rush on them anyway. TBH just your average Christmas pudding goes down just as well ime.

I nearly went back to have another look today but couldn't be bothered in the end.

I made my own last year and it was amazing so I'll be doing that again this year anyway and won't really need another one. I'd just like to see what all the fuss was about

I bought a big un and two lil uns . I gather that they will get more in before christmas though. They have ordered three times as many this year. I love pud especially mini ones which you can enjoy at your own leisure when NOT stuffed with turkey.

Will have a look tomorrow. I hate Christmas pud but my mother was devastated not to get one last year.

Yessss! Got one big one and two little clementine ones for my mother and her cronies. I don't even like the stuff but I was stupidly excited!

I asked in our Waitrose yesterday. They have loads of the puddings in but they're not on "the system" yet so they won't be out on sale till the 17th.

I'll go back in after then and pick up one or two :)

I went back and got one for MIL as well and that's me done. I can sit back and enjoy the fuss. Except there won't be any fuss because they've ordered 17 million of them this year!

It's a good job I love Chistmas pudding. I'll be making 2 huge ones (although 1 will go to my Mum) and I've already got a Tesco version of the HB one so if I get a Waitrose one too I'll have 3 puddings to eat on top of actually having Christmas dinner at MIL's!

I bought a Heston one the other day - figured if eBay goes loopy again, we'll have made a nice little profit, but if it doesn't then I will eat it! I've made them for the past couple of years but our families aren't the biggest fans and my DSIL is the most incredible professional baker, so my stuff is a bit blah in comparison ;) Not sure I can take the rejection of eating it myself again... sob
