disney bogof why cant i get the little mermaid.
(12 Posts)ok so my daughter is 18 months but my all time fav disney film was the little mermaid. Why is everyone out of stock?? Has something happened it?? hmv, zavvi etc doing the offer bogof but no the little mermaid.
i dont know, but i had a similar issue last year with beauty and the beast.
According to Amazon, "The Little Mermaid is back in Walt Disney's Vault" so is not readily available at present. You could probably get it on ebay or Amazon marketplace HTH
I thought Disney did the withdraw for 7 years thing to catch different generations....or did I dream that?!!
Disney classics are only released approx every 10 years and then withdrawn after christmas. I can't remember ever seeing it anywhere in recent years so it might be coming round again soon HTH
Disney deliberately remove classics from sale to keep demand high. They then release a "special edition for a short period at inflated prices. Lion King is due to come out in November having been unavailable for ages.
im pretty sure ive seen it on ebay/amazon, but the above posters are right, its locked in their vault atm
thanks well ill give up till they release it again then, typical lol. BTW for those interested hmv seems cheapest atm for disney bogof approx £12.47 for 2
Think The Little Mermaid is out again in 2013, Lady and the Tramp is out next year sometime.
I want both of those so was asking in the Disney store!
I recently bought Lion King and Cinderella from an Asian website.
The DVDs were absolutely fine, I just have to go to settings each time to turn off Chinese subtitles.
I want to get Lady and the Tramp for Dd this Christmas, I'll go on ebay!
You can get a new little mermaid platinum edition DVD on ebay for £8 Inc postage
