I have bought some from rspb - green with gold robins on. Ds is mad for green so I have to buy whatever green paper I can find when I see it.

Usually I get several rolls from yellowmoon.org.com www.yellowmoon.org.uk/cat_id/CHRI/product-Festive-Gift-Wrap-M122.htm of cheerful paper which does me well.

I got mine from Laura ashley and the White Company - both bought in the sales with about 70% off....

Last year i also bought some from Superdrug just before Christmas. I was amazed at the quality - way thicker than any paper i had bought before and it was buy one get one free...

If you can get to Costco they do fabulous wrapping paper. Fantastic quality, and it's reversible. Comes in massive rolls (40m iirc) I use it year after year.
I tend to use a side for each child so I don't have to label the pressies, they just have a design each from father Christmas.

Last year's sales also. Tesco and Superdrug both usually have good offers on just after Christmas. Then my employer closed down so the staff took home all the bulk rolls of wrapping paper that would otherwise have been dumped. I think that'll keep me going for about five years!

I'm another saddo cheapskate organised person who buys in the sales. I got some from Aldi a couple of years ago - and it was amazing M&S type quality at Aldi prices. Don't think it's in this year yet but honestly worth looking (just watch out as they sometimes have some lesser-quality too)

Wrapping is my favourite bit! Sad but true. I've now become known for the wrapping so these things take a lot of planning.
Last year was plain red paper from tescos sale the year before. But I also brought a massive pack of cheap gold decorations to tie onto the adults and double sided tape to attach choc coins to the childrens. And wrote names in gold marker rather than doing tags.
This year is hot pink and lime green, got rolls and ribbon in each and will mix and match. I'm not sure how to label them this year though.

Would people think it was naff if DS decorated parcel paper with gold or red and green sponge or finger painting?

Primark paper is really good value. andsurprisingly good quality too, for the price.

Is primark really good? I've bought their spotty birthday paper before and it just ripped as i was wrapping. I am guessing their xmas stuff is better quality. I bought WHsmiths in the sale the last couple of years and it was brilliant. Really good quality and on the reverse it is covered in a grid which is handy as i always cut wonky lines otherwise!

Got nightmare wrapping paper last year from bhs. Really sparkly, tape would not stick to it .

DH hates cheap paper that your fingers go through when your wrapping, spent an evening wrapping with him complaining constantly about my poor choice of paper.

I'm going to make note of your choices and buy what you think is best then I don't get the blame.

Stacks of tissue paper from Amazon. Layer of white, layer of silver or gold and then a layer of colour. Add a nice ribbon. Sorted.

I have a colour scheme each year [saddo] - last year was purple so I added an extra layer - it went white, gold, light purple, dark purple OR to jazz things up a bit black, gold, dark purple, light purple [wild].

Wrapping is my favourite thing ever.

Just got a load from Primark today - and started wrapping up what I have already bought.
