Paulton's park at Christmas - best rides shut!

We have been taking the children to Paulton's at Christmas for the last 10 years and it has become a bit of a tradition in our family. Got the flyer through the post this year and in small print it says that alot of the rides including the edge and the cobra will be closed. Just wanted to say in case anyone was thinking of going and was unaware that the best rides would be closed. We have always enjoyed the rides as it tends not to be very busy and queues are short. Obviously not an issue if you have small children. We won't be bothering going this year which is a shame.

i would imagine it's because of peppa pig world? Maybe they are doing something christmassy in there, when we went one wkend earlier in the year whilst the peppa part was packed the rest of the park was fairly empty and had no q's (and this was in june!)

Sad I have season tickets. DS and I (plus friends who have season pass as well) love going to PP at Christmas for a quick blast followed by a hot chocolate and cookie to warm up.

I suspect though it's due to ice and wind. A few times this year it has conveniently decided to shower when we're on the edge. It has meant the ride hasn't stopped lined up properly and we've had to wait.

Yes maybe due to Peppa Pig world. Not sure about the weather though. We have tended to only to go the Christmas event and sometimes it has been snowing! Last year when we went it was really cold, but it has been really good as the ride queues are so short. My children are 9 and 12 now so not interested in Peppa Pig. End of an era for us :(
