I am wondering what to get my girl for Christmas? She will be 20 months old but unfortunately her Mum and I no longer live together. She is lively - not one to sit in the corner quietely!
Any ideas gratefully received.

We got one of these for our livewire ds2 when he was 12 months but tbh he only really got into it closer to 18months.

He loves it though and it has gotten so much use, they're really manoeuvrable and zippy but don't take up as much space in the house as most ride ons and are so cute everyone who comes to the house comments on it.

Scuttlebugs are also good, as they fold away. Can be used indoors or out. Playdoh? Duplo?

Does she like to play "kitchens" if so we just bought this for our son - amazon and it is really good value. You do need to buy pots, play food etc but it is something you can add too

Agree with a with a scuttlebug, duplo, doll, pushchair and accessories, kitchen. Definately things that get them using their imagination as they really start to do this around 2 HTH :)

You'll probably find that how she plays with toys will change once she is 2, so I'd agree that anything that involves some role play or uses her imagination would be great. Kitchens, dolls, duplo etc all great. I'd also recommend happyland (from ELC) for that age.

Have you asked her mum what she's getting her?
