Was thinking about getting dd a camera for christmas she'll be almost 6 so I think too old for the kiddizoom type ones but can someone recommend a good inbetween camera - looks and acts grown up but will stand up to a fair amount of unintentional abuse. Cheap as possible as well please Grin

Two Christmases ago we bought a digital camera for DS (who is now 11.6) .It was on his Christmas Wish List.

Cheapest one we found was M&S - I think it was £40ish with an extra card for digital pics (how techie am I? Grin )

Very nice looking camera , in a choice of silver or black. We bought the silver. It looks very grown up, not at all gimicky. Takes very nice pictures too.
DH has a digital camera which eats batteries but the M&S one is OK

They won't have the same one now but worth a look.

(I did buy a SatNav from M&S and it was the most useless article EVER!)
