Found any Bargains?

Thought it might be helpful for us to list where we may have come across any bargain buys in the lead up to Christmas.

I've personally found a few good buys on play.com. I had 3 Christmas DVD's (aimed at toddlers) for £4.00 with free postage. They also do leapfrog leaptop for £14.99 beating Argos and Toys R Us by £5.00 and Tag Junior for £22.39 (£30 in Argos). Aquadoodle Classic comes in at £13.39 (£19.99 Argos). Everything has free delivery although does take around 3 working days.

I also nipped into Asda yesterday to buy a toy vacuum which was originally costing £22.99 but they had a good one for £12 and then noticed a 2 for £20 offer on and therefore picked up a Leapfrog Potsy for just £8 - it was going to cost nearer £20.

I've started! Tescos had a 20% off toys weekend a couple of weeks ago, and you could combine with the 2 for £20 offer. Keep checking moneysavingexpert grabbit board for glitches- there was a mothercare one a couple of weeks ago where loads of vouchers and free delivery worked together, ended up getting £55 of toys, kids pjs and shoes for £25 delivered. Thats 6 of the 8 kids in my family done, and a few stocking fillers for DD, for about £60.

Its worth checking out this part of the argos site- if you put in your postcode, it gives you all the clearance lines available in your local store. I've been checking it every now and again, and have got a couple of little bits- squinkies (no idea what they are, but know DD wants some!) bracelet/toy set, down to £2.49, still £6 in Asda.

I'm keeping my eye on Kindles- there are refurbished ones on amazon for £60-something, with a warranty. DD did have this as her main pressie, but now she says she can't decide!

I got a LEGO Star Wars Midi-Scale Imperial Star Destroyer for £15 in Tesco today, down from £30. It's still £30 on Tesco Direct.

Thats good value. I hope more places start stocking spongebob lego- I wanted to have a look before I bought it if I could, but so far can only see it on Amazon and Play. Looks good though!

LOL Clandy - I thought you were trying to say you were going to Venice on the money you could potentially save!

For anyone interested in some cheap choccies!!!

www.viking-direct.co.uk/catalog/catalogSku.do?id=5751027&pr=Q29&cm_re=home--home9--11Wk35_Celebrations

These are free if you buy any item worth more than 1p! So, add something like a 19p sharpener to your basket along with the chocolates. You'll be charged £2.90 delivery so get the chocs for just £3.09 delivered :-) Mine are on the way!

Oh and there is a free delivery code which can be used on all orders with no minimum spend: Q28-FREE

It doesn't come up in checkout though and is apparently applied once they process the order so I won't know if it worked until they take money from my bank!

How did you find out about that deal tigerlilly? I've just placed my order for a pencil sharpener and a box of chocs! Grin

cupofteaplease excellent! Did you use the free delivery code? If so, I'd be interested to see if it worked. Mine still isn't showing up on my bank statement online so don't know yet. Either way though - £3 something for a big box of chocs and a pencil sharpener for my eye liner isn't bad! :)

My sister told me about it. She had hers delivered a couple of days ago so thought I'd try my luck too! I'm not sure how she came across it.

Chocs and sharpener ordered, used free delivery code, will let you know if it works. Fantastic though even if £3.71 - the PILs will benefit from them at Christmas!

I ordered some L'Occitane stuff today - put the basket of mini shower gels in your trolley, then add hand creams then back to home page and choose the free shower gel link, put your shower gel in trolley, view trolley and put BOP11 into offer code box, click apply, then put MAR11 into offer box click apply.

You will get all that stuff for £38.95 and can add 2 sachets for free and a gift box for free. You can split the sets up.

Sainsburys have their toys on sale at the moment.

Today I bought one of my charges the Lego boat (floats on water) it should have been £29.99 but, I got it for £19. Smile
He loves Lego so I know it will be a HUGE hit.

Someone further up the thread mentioned Entertainer, they have fantastic bargains at times.

All my L'Occitane stuff arrived this morning - lovely!

The Viking free delivery code had expired so the chocs and sharpener are £3.71 - still a bargain.
