I've bought a couple of bits but want to get most of the shopping done by the end of November, don't think I have ever been this organised!

Love the idea of the gingerbread man ribbon

Colour scheme - I'm going back to multi coloured, having done white and silver, red and gold and variations of that for the last few years. I have a young daughter, we need gingerbread men, wooden decorations, rainbow colours. Can't wait for the Christmas departments to be in full swing, though I shall resist the temptation to buy anything until December.

DH has a lot of grandchildren so present buying for them starts in September.

I love Christmas and all things festive including the shopping. I love to do the last minute Sainsburys shop for the perishables, the sweet treats, beer/brandy for DH. And the feeling of having bought a few extra things that weren't on my list Blush

But today, out with DCs and a mega shopping list for school- shoes( 2 pairs) trainers (2 pairs) plimsols, blazer, long socks.
Managed to get school shoes for DD and DS , socks, T shirts for me and a Nightmare Before Christmas T-light holder (wasn't on list but I need it for Hallowe'en)

It just got me thinking, I must be mad! Trawling round shops with an ever-increasing number of bags. And I never get everything on my list.
It's just the thought of Christmas Shopping that is lovely.
But I still do it every year Grin Hmm

Omg my family would love a dr who themed Christmas!

After a few years of a black tree and purple/peacock decorations we are going back to a green tree with red, green and gold decorations. Much to my 5yo's delight. He said our black tree looked dead Blush

Loving the dr who theme, does everyone have to wear a dickie bow?

I missed out a bit on xmas last year with DD due 2 weeks before and actually arriving a week before. I had presents sorted in September just in case, we didn't do decorations in our home as it would be too much hassle. This year I am ready to go crazy! I have tons of baubles and tree trimmings. I inherited some beautiful xmas decs from a great aunt including a ceramic tree which lights up with little lights, very lovely and can't wait to use it. Never a theme with Decs, it's such a mishmash that it's lovely.

I have no idea what to make as gifts this year.

thanks guys, but sadly the idea was not mine (dsis who is dr who mad, and db and ds1 contributed.) i just (maybe foolishly) agreed to it. yes, not so much a dickie bow but everyone has to wear an item that has been in dr who at some point over its long life. dsis wants a long stripy scarf like the 4th doctor, db has a dickie bow like the 11th doctor etc. already have one dr who themed gift which is a david tennant book for dsis (dt mad)

Was in Tesco this week and saw half an aisle of boxes of chocolates/Finest shit that all looked suspiciously Christmassy.

I have a few presents already - I go on Martin Lewis Grabbit thread and snap up bargains throughout the year to put away as presents as money is very very tight. Still want to make it nice for DD's 2nd Christmas though.

I am getting hyped up about Christmas now so have decided to head to the garden centre with DD today then take her for some fish and chips. I may pick up a present or two while I'm out! Grin
