Going to some friends with DS. They have 3 DCs and babysitters and issue so going there for dinner and champagne and the children can play. Really looking forward to it actually.

With friends here, providing DD2 is still not sick. Champagne aplenty and some nice food.

Having a lovely family round to ours with lovely M&S "picky" food and a Wii championship.

So looking forward to it.

home alone with a colicky baby (and hopefully a sleeping toddler), while poor DH polices the mean streets. oh joy.
I might push the boat out and order a pizza....

Will be having a 'picnic dinner' (buffet of party-type food) playing some games and watching TV. Don't know if DCs will be staying up, I'll play it by ear. It'll just be us though Smile

I am actually excited about it for the first time since dd was born. My sister and family and my dad are all coming to us in Belgium. There will be a party!

For the last 6 years I have generally gone to bed before midbight. Though last NYE I spent on MN, and actualy forgot that I was an hour ahead....Blush

Having friends and their kids for lots of food and drink and a sleepover. Not in a pampas grass kind of way, obviously...

Well... i'm going to be 8 months pg - and my Bro and SIL are coming down and we were meant to be going to local pub early so i could get a seat - but all of us have the lurgy - so at this rate, probably be staying home!

And I figured it was my last chance to have a child-free NYE for the next, oh, 15 years or so Xmas Grin!

Like Riven, living the dream. Bed by, maybe 10pm max. Might indulge in a little fine dining courtesy of M&S but I can't be bovvered with it all and am generally too tired.

I'm going to a friend's house for champagne, food, kids running around and they have a hot tub. They also have pampas grass, but I am desperately hoping confident it won't involve any bizarre sexual shenanigans.

Will probably have a good dinner and a bottle of the fizzy stuff but will be in bed before the bells! DH won't be home until 7 from work.

Going to family on NYD though.

Six of us for dinner here courtesy of food ordered from Waitrose and a bit more from M&S.
Started doing this when all our kids were younger and used to take them with us. Always took it in turns each year going to each others houses.
Are still doing it although not with the kids any more. They usually use one of the parent free houses and have about a dozen friends round (seems to be more mess to tidy after one of their get togethers, beer cans, beer up the wall(!), lipstick on wall, crisps crushed into carpet etc etc.
One set of parents have gone to Australia so suspect that may be the early 20 something base for this years NYE.
At least he'll have time to tidy up in the week before parents return!
