It's something about 'Christmas day in the morning' but it's not I saw three ships

It's a girl singing I think

Do you have any more info? Is it modern? Any idea of the style?

Modernish - pop (ish)

Quite christmassy music, quite high

Craig Charles played a Christmas song by her this afternoon - can't remember what it was called but she sang it in a sort of rasping folksy way which grated on me as I like a carol to sound like a carol.

Are we getting warmer?Smile

Have a look at Thea Gilmore " That'll be christmas" It's on youtube. Doesn't have the words you were wanting, but I heard it this morn on Ken Bruce and thought it was Annie Lennox-y Worth a look.

Sorry about appalling texting - I'm on the phone in bed and all giddy - "Name That Tune" is my favourite game!

Lennox's new one has a few carols on it - but not one with Christmas day in the morning.

Do you know there are playlists for some of the Radio2 programmes? If you could tell us the programme, we might be able to wittle it down from there.

This is the song stings version. There are lots of covers of it. Really nice

Report
Lotkinsgonecurly · 23/12/2010 22:10

I think the version was Annie Lennox and her new Christmas album.

Report
KatyMac · 23/12/2010 22:11

It was a modern song, maybe early on Christmas morning
