DS is 5 1/2 and does watch Chuggington on tv.

It's too babyish for your dh, but he won;t be playing with it.

It will be fine for your five year old.

Hey Fab!!

Its Christmas and if thats what ds wants - thats what he should have.....if he will play with it -who cares?

Ds1 LOVES his. He is 4 1/2. My pal's wee boy loves it when he comes over and he is 7! Tbh, it is basically a fancy box, but aye, if he likes chuggington, he will like it.

Sainsbos have good deals on the wee trains, btw.

I agree, if that is what your ds wants, then there is no reason for him not to have it.
I think it looks fab, when do boys ever grow out of anything to do with trains

Let him be 'babyish', it looks fun.

Time for older toys and ipods will come soon enough!

Thanks guys.

He shall have it and <sticks out tongue> to DH.

"when do boys ever grow out of anything to do with trains"

Exactly. DH has his own train that runs in the garden...

I remember when ds1 was very young, he had some of those loud chuny cars and trains etc.
I took ds1 upstairs for a bath and when we came downstairs again, dp was still sitting on the floor playing with these things (age range of 6 months+).
I did ask him if he'd realised that ds1 had left the room and dp replied he was just testing them hmm

I suspect it won't last long as top plaything, though -- he will outgrow it. My immature 6.5yo (v. boisterous, loves kittens, Yoohoos and Thomas tTE) looked at your link and proclaimed it "rubbish".

Oh no sad.

Haven't heard back from the person who wanted ideas so will keep looking.

Guadalupe Sat 18-Dec-10 11:09:54

your ds has looked at it and presumably thinks it looks great though.

Your ds you does know it's just the case and doesn't come with any contents. If he's expecting it to be full he may be a bit disappointed. Unless he has stuff to fill it up with already fo course...

And no, why would it be babyish? Never too young/old to learn t o put things away neatly! grin

mumeeee Sat 18-Dec-10 15:40:57

It's not to babyish for a five year old.

IAmReallyFabNow Sat 18-Dec-10 16:00:09

It comes with one train.

Doesn't matter now. The person isn't buying it confused.
