shock @ smallwhitecat - yep, that's another one

I'm always so emotional at this time of year though. I even cried at Elf the other day. It's a wonder I make it to Boxing Day without a total breakdown hmm grin

Cry at everything, me. But The Snowman is a killer, ditto the Railway Children.

Or a cold-looking cat on the news. Or someone alone for Christmas <wails>

Never, ever read the Velveteen Rabbit.

I was just explaining the story to a friend the other day and I was in tears. blush

I do every time. Going to see it on stage over the xmas break - I will have to try and contain myself!

DVD of velveteen rabbit in DD's stocking grin

But then I cry at the end of Puff the Magic Dragon.

I did this watching it with (off school ill) dd2 this morning.

And I felt so nostalgic, then sad, as the parents and the scenery somehow reminded me of my (long dead) maternal grandparents and the interior of their house.......

Dd2 cried at the end too

OMG there's a DVD of the Velveteen Rabbit?

Is it as harrowing as the book?

SuePurblybiltbyElves Thu 16-Dec-10 20:52:21

Don't know. Maybe I should watch it first! But DD is stony-hard. I am the blubberer.

She has special tissues that she offers me.
