I would really like to donate to charity next year rather than send out xmas cards.

How do you let people know? Via e-mail? text?

Also, wondered what the view is on homemade gifts?

Want to make some fudge, minty balls and mince pies with ds1....nice xmas gift for an aunty???

Homemade gifts are lovely.

I don't send christmas cards to anyone, but I don't think you need to tell all your firends you won't be sending cards.

DS makes cards for all his friends at school, so I get him to make a few extra for the few people I want to send cards to.

Homemade gifts are fab! I give them and I'd love to receive them too.

Thanks!

Dont want to seem mean IYSWIM? I would still send cards to immediate family I think but not neighbours and other family members I never see!

I have spent so much this year I am quite ashamed of myself Blush

Have been sorting out loads of stuff and sending it to the local hospice shop out of guilt Sad

I personally think that handmade gifts are more precious than bought ones. You put personal effort into then, you think of the person you are making them for and they realise that it is especially made for them and no one else :)

Thats what I think too solo

My most precious possession is a heart shape cut out of a cereal packet with "I love you mummy" written on it by my ds1 Smile
