My DD (3.6) is getting:
Turntable for wooden train set
Mini Charlie and Lola notebook
Tiny set of felt tips
Very hungry caterpillar card game
Dora the Explorer expanding flannel
Princess wand, tiara and tutu thingy
Tiny tea set which my mum bought.

DS (1.4) will have:
Cars expandable flannel
Cute fork and spoon
Buggy book
Harold and Thomas toys
Happyland policeman and pilot
And I'm planning on getting him a hat as he keeps outgrowing them confused

C'mon, share some inspiration this is the first year we've done stockings for them so I'm really excited!

I am intrigued, how did the Lilo and Stitch tradition come about?! Is it always a stitch toy? <nosy>

taffetacat Fri 26-Nov-10 16:47:04

They discovered Lilo and Stitch a few years ago on DVD and both adore it. They are both suckers for naughty cute things, which the Stitch character personifies.

The first year I found a little Stitch toy and put it poking out the top of DD's stocking, she squealed with joy, but DS was disappointed he didn't have one. I now trawl eBay for small Stitch toys in September so they can both have one poking out the top of their stocking.

They were talking earlier this week about what Santa might leave, and they both said "Stitch poking out the top!" at the same time, eyes shining.

dd (3)

I can cook book (got it cheap online)
Mister maker book (again got it cheap!)
Padded embroidered coathanger
Small pot of moonsand
growing mermaid thingy
small rag doll
gold coins
some hair baubles
draw on face book thingy

ds (4 months!)
Padded coat hanger
redistribution of dd's baby toys

They may be padded up with a few colouring pencils or stickers as we do part at our house, part at pil's and part at my parents as they all add things like pj's and pants for her and other gc from santa at their house.

Consequently will probably get something little from us like a few books (octonauts is a big favourite). I have a book worm so don't mind having a few more! (also depending on what gp's give - think it will be a trike so might have a bell or something to give with)

For me I prefer to do the stocking than a big pressie as she only wants Happyland/peppa pig/cars so spending my budget there opposed to on a pressie.
