Anyone else absolutely dreading Christmas?

Or am I the only one?

I can feel myself getting more and more down each day atm as the christmas hype is starting to build. Sad

Can't get out of Xmas because of the kids. I have to be there for them but would rather shut myself away for a month. Instead I struggle through as always.

Bloody hate it!

You need to find one part of it that you like and enjoy and focus completely on that.
For me I love watching the kids open their presents and their carol concerts and the walk after dinner, quite a lot actually but that is what I focus on when I am stood outside marky's at 6 am.

I don't like the hype but do like Christmas. This year we are going out for Christmas Dinner so I don't have to do any food.
We will have a big family party just after Christmas which although I find a bit stressful I actually love. It means all the cousins can get together. There are 12 of them all togenter now aged from 11 to 25. This year is going to be special as one of my nieces is expectting a baby at the beginning of December so she'll bring the bay with her and my nephew who lives in America is bringing his Fiance over.

Can you change what you do on Christmas day so that you do enjoy it Mum72?

I don't get that warm and cosy sentimental feeling that other people seem to get but can't complain as all my family are hooking up this year and I don't have to do any of the organising/putting up/cookingGrin.

What's not to like? Loads of food , opening presents
if it's family that's the problem say you're just having Xmas on your own this year
