My niece is really sporty, runs, swims (fantastically well, we're talking county level soon) and football. All the sports shops I've been to really only sell things for adults, is there somewhere I can buy sporty stuff for girls?

What about a new swimming towel? Or a bag for her dirty sports shoes? I think most of the big sports chains do childrens things, although the girls stuff does seem to be predominantly pink.

Have you looked at any online shops? Even local footie teams have their own shops with scarves, tops, hats etc. The big teams will have their own online shops. I'd consult your nieces parents about this to avoid buying something she already has.

Has she got a netball hoop and ball for the garden?

One of my friend's 8yo girl jsut got some pink football boots for her birthday.

Decathlon have a great value selection of children's sports wear and accessories.

Great suggestions, keep 'em coming

She doesn't support a football team as such (I don't think - note to self: check which team she supports) but I know her dad's taken her to see West Ham play (poor thing ) She plays a lot of football though so will look for some kind of kit related item.

I like the swimming bag/towel etc ideas.

Their garden isn't terribly big so I don't think the netball hoop would work, but great idea, I'll store that one away for a later date
