I'm struggling a bit as it feels like ds has suddenly grown up a lot and much of what I look at seems a bit young for him but I'm not sure what the next stage is??

He doesn't need anymore lego. Help I'm lost!!

He had lessons in the summer and loved it..
He'll get some lego - but you are right, doesn't need it!

Magnext are good. The rollercoaster one is good fun.

Arty stuff.

Struggling myself this year, DS just turned 7.

He's getting a guitar and lessons. Should make him grin on Christams morn!

DS also want a buzz lightyear but he already has one but some reason his doesn't have wings and is therefore inadequate but I refuse to fork out 40 quid jsut for a pair of wings!

Never heard of magnext will take a look. I can think of lots of odds and sods to get but want to make sure he has some stuff that he can actually play with on the day

Iheartdusty - tell me about the sky rail that sound interesting.

ThighsWideShut Mon 08-Nov-10 21:38:40

Yes, I wondered about Skyrail. What is it??

And does anyones DS have the army Metal Detector? And is it good?

ThighsWideShut Mon 08-Nov-10 21:39:05

Sorry, think it's the HM Forces Metal Detector

iheartdusty Mon 08-Nov-10 21:41:36

skyrail so basically a marble run where you can make huge loops of rail. There are various sizes and sets, some have a lift.

ds has asked for a table football game but I have been looking at a second hand multi games table as I think he would love having football, snooker, air hockey etc to play!

ConnorTraceptive Mon 08-Nov-10 22:06:09

Hmm I did wonder about the air hockey too

These are usefull ideas thank you!

DS2 is 6 and all he seems to want is K-Nex after playing with it at school.
We'll probably also get him an MP3 player (loaded with his favourite choons) as he's really into music.
I don't know what else.
