Start using Mumsnet PremiumAMA Requests
(32 Posts)Thought it could be interesting to have a thread where people can request AMAs.
As often MNetters might not know their experiences would be interesting to anyone else!
If I was to request some AMA they would probably include things like:
I joined and then left an MLM - AMA
I was in a cult - AMA
I went viral - AMA (internet buzz not covid!)
I’d like an air-traffic controller.
Nore

Also 999 call handler as a career one

I'd like someone who works for MI5 but I realise it's prob not possible
I'd like someone from the child maintenance to come on and tell us why it's hard for them to recover debt, outstanding payments from the supposedly paying parent.
I'm not being goady but maybe if we had some understanding about how they work and the difficulties they face in their everyday roles it might help those who are not getting what they need understand why.
Someone who calls people about the car accident they were in.
Ooohhh @Justjoinedforthis that's a good one!
I think I'm blacklisted by these not to call me which is a shame as I live winding them up

That's a great shout - I feel like there was an AMA or another thread that turned into one ages ago from someone who worked with Universal Credit applicants and it seemed really useful to understand where their hands are tied and why certain processes are so clunky.
I'd love one on the csa.
My ex is self employed. Earns over £100k
, owes £10k of debt but it's just not looked into.
Hmrc say it's a CMS issue and CMS say it's a hmrc issue.
Meanwhile he's opening and closing businesses without putting in accounts and nothing ever happens with either of them.
I don't need the money but that's me. Other people do.
If a political party offered to change that they would have a 50% vote. And win.
But it doesn't happen and I dont know why. There should be harsher laws and punishments but there isn't.
I will get off my soap box now
Sorry op I didn't mean to go off on a tangent!
I would like something similar to McDonald's one. That was my fav!
I'd like one by PigletJohn. It would be never ending though
I’d like someone who has worked for the Royal family but they’re probably not allowed.
I can do a "joined and left an MLM" one if you want.
Someone who has worked in Houses of Parliament
Someone who worked with Trump

Awesome, I'll be first in line!
I'd like one by a postie or someone who works in the sorting office!
One by somebody who signed the official secrets act
I would like Pyrex Posties wife.
I'd love to hear from a Crofter/small holder, I'd love to have the grit and skills to be pretty self sufficient but I'm the type of person who dances about sheep poo on a country walk because I don't want to get poo on my wellies 🙈
