Can i call these people my friends?

My friend couple got a good job abroad and wanted to rent their apartment fully furnished. I told them I could rent it and i got promised a good rent price. After a while they realized their pet dogs could not immidiately travel with them. I thought that ok they are my friends I could take care of the two dogs. Turns out that signing the rent agreement they did not give me any good price and i had to take care of the two dogs. I didnt have a choice to backout since i told my landlord i would be moving out. I ended up taking care of these dogs for a half a year, all in all they paid me 100dollars for food costs. Also note that both were adopted dogs and one was a puppy, they werent the easiest dogs. Well after the dogs went back to my friends my bf moved in. I got pregnant. Then at some stage my friends told me they were moving back at the end of october also my friends decided to get married abroad and we got invited too, however i was 9months pregnant and got pregnancy poisoning symptoms and we cancelled our going to their wedding. 3days before the end of the month they asked me was the apartment empty...i was shocked..cause we agreed that it would be by the end of the month plus i paid full rent so legally it was ours until the end. They told me that they had sent a message to me which i never received that they would move back 3 says earlier. Me and my husband had nowhere to go. So we booked a van in the evening, moved all of our stuff in the van during the night. It was really hard because being pregnant to carry stuff to the van. I got really hurt because it felt they didnt even care about us...we had to drive 150miles to our moms that night. What do you think about these people i call friends?

Umm ... never mix money with friendships, it really brings out the worst side in people.
