Can I ask why you had the procedure and why it was kept a secret?

I found myself pregnant to an abusive man, I didn’t know he was this at the time and I stayed with him after the abortion, but, he wanted me to have one and he wouldn’t allow me to tell anyone. I believed what he was telling me was what I thought, so, I kept it secret and told the staff at the hospital it wasn’t the right time for a baby.

Now years later, I can’t say I know why I had the abortion then, but I’m grateful it got me away from him.
