Where is it?
BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, W1J 9LN in the heart of London’s west end.
The nearest tubes are Green Park or Piccadilly Circus. For more information, see our Location page.
Which sessions can I attend?
The opening and closing sessions of the day will be programmed so that all delegates can attend. For the rest of the day, you will be able to elect one of three sessions in each time slot. During each time slot there will be one session focussing on working for yourself; one session focussing on getting a job with an employer; and one professional workshop. Once you've booked your place, we'll ask you to select which breakout sessions you would like to attend.
See our Programme page for a full list of sessions.
What if I want to change which sessions I attend?
We'll do our very best to make a space for you at whichever session you would like to attend, but some sessions, such as the Confidence Workshops have limited capacity as these sessions operate best with small numbers.
What if I want to see two sessions that are scheduled against each other?
We've tried to ensure that there is as much choice as possible for delegates. If we anticipate that some sessions will be in high demand, we'll be running them more than once or scheduling them in the main auditorium. The experts in the Career Clinic will be on hand to fill in any gaps, if you miss a particular session which interests you.
When I can speak to the experts in the Career Clinic?
Some will be on hand to answer questions throughout the day, others will be available in the lunch and coffee breaks. You can sign up for a 10 minute 1 to 1 consultation with as many experts as you choose. We'll have a BIG noticeboard at Workfest to let you know of their availability - this should help you to schedule your day.
Is there internet access?
Yes, there is wifi access throughout the building.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it's fully wheelchair accessible. There's also an induction loop which can provide hearing assistance to hearing-aid users.
Will there be childcare?
Unfortunately we are not able to provide a crèche, but babes in arms will be welcome within the main conference, and a comfy area will be provided for breastfeeding. There will also be babychange facilities.
How much will it cost?
Early bird tickets cost £75 and are available until midnight on Sunday 21st April. After then the tickets will cost £95.
Is there a discount for the unwaged?
There is no specific discount for the unwaged, though we encourage everyone to book before Sunday 21st April, to take advantage of the 20% early bird discount on the ticket price.
Why should I attend?
For so many reasons! To hear great speakers, gather tips on how to hone your CV from professionals, grow your confidence to return to the workplace, get fired up about starting your own business, define your career goals, find out how work-life balance is achieved by those in the know, to be informed, to be inspired...The list is endless!
Can I have a refund if I can't go?
We will be able to offer refunds up until May 15th, one month before the event.
