Millpond Children's Sleep Clinic
The highly acclaimed Millpond Children's Sleep Clinic has a 97% success rate in resolving children's sleep problems. The techniques that they use are not new or unique to them but well-recognized core techniques that have been fully researched and used by many professionals around the world. However what distinguishes their approach is that they do not adhere to any one particular technique in a given situation, believing that the solution to a sleep problem must take into account the particular family's environment, composition, needs and expectations. So they take a tailor-made approach: one that is sympathetic rather than prescriptive and that always has the child at its centre. All of the team at Millpond are qualified health professionals with many years experience helping families solve their children's sleep problems. Their latest book 'Teach Your Child to Sleep' published by Hamlyn is now available. As a first step to a good night's sleep, call Millpond on: (+44) (0) 20 8444 0040. Or visit:www.mill-pond.co.uk

We are the only service that offers an alternative to the controlled crying method. We are unique in our approach and our style is revolutionary. Our approach is based on attachment parenting and we pride ourselves in that we treat each family as unique individuals. We aim to listen to you and find out how we can best meet your need. We do not impose rigid structures that are unrealistic. We aim to enhance your skills, value your experience and assist your parenting style. Our method is called "Confident parent, Comforted child". We aim to solve your child's sleep issue within 2/3 weeks.
Natural Parenting
The site for parents who question the "modern" approaches to pregnancy, birth and child-raising, and wish to return to more nurturing methods of parenting. It provides a wealth of information on all things associated with 'natural parenting'; home-births, terry nappies, the immunisation debate etc. Although informative and fundamentally sound, I believe it should be read alongside other schools of parenting and I did find some of the ideas slightly unrealistic; Instead of TV, give them a smooth piece of twig to play with - interesting but I still think my son would choose Postman Pat.
NetParenting.com
How to secure your children's online health and safety. Largely what software to buy in order to screen your kids from e-nasties; otherwise common sense. Worth a glance if you are worried.
Parentline Plus
Parentline is a charity that runs parenting courses as well as a freephone helpline for anyone worried about parenting issues or caring for a child.? Very much of the 'reality' school of parenting - they know kids can make you angry/depressed as well as full of joy - the site is full of useful information and advice about subjects as diverse as bullying and introducing a new partner to a child. Worth a look.
Parentsoup
The seminal US parenting site. Allows you to join different 'communities', depending on the age of your child/ren. Crammed full of useful and not so useful-but-interesting-anyway information about a range of parenting problems, from how to choose the sex of your next baby to dealing with discipline in 12 year olds. Inevitable American bias and there's so much in it you sometimes feel a bit at a loss as to where to start, but you'll find something worth looking at.
Parent Pages
Parent Pages is the UK directory for families with 0-18's. A really useful source of local and national information for all parents, grandparents, teachers and anybody whose life revolves around babies or children.

This website was launched in response to research which says that 1 in 3 parents feel like failures. It's aim is to inspire and equip parents to enjoy parenthood and endeavours to do this with interesting news features illustrated by quirky cartoons , experts Q&A, practical information and tips. Although I did find navigating around the site slightly confusing, it is lively and informative and if you're inspired by celeb parents, this site has been endorsed by Huw Edwards and DJ Simon Mayo!

Teen Drug Abuse
This site provides help for parents who have a troubled teen who has been struggling with teen drug abuse and or alcohol abuse.
Working Moms' Refuge
As you can guess by the spelling of mum, there's an American bias here. This week's question on the bulletin board was heavily Christian; biblical references may help you, or not. Paediatric bits were interesting.
Zero to Three
American health site, with lots of information on the different stages of development, with short batches of advice on how to help your child on the physical, emotional and linguistic front at each stage. The accompanying shopping basket is slightly irritating (as in trying to sell you a soft bouncy ball after recommending one for 7 month babies), but the site is an interesting read none the less.
