The Au Pair Company Ltd
The Au Pair Company Ltd is a UK registered Internet business run by John and Catherine Meyer & Johnnie and Ali Kittermaster. "Both of our families have had first hand experience of employing AuPairs over the last ten years and we have enjoyed working with Au Pairs from various countries around the globe. Both of our families believe that the addition of an Au Pair has enhanced our lives. Having an extra pair of hands on holiday, being able to go out in the evenings without the stress of finding a trustworthy babysitter, having some help with the household chores and even undertaking tennis coaching, has been invaluable. We firmly believe that Au Pairs should be treated like a member of the family and as a result we would like to help you find the perfect Au Pair."

nurseryplace
A fairly comprehensive nation-wide list of daily nurseries. Lists name, address and telephone number and occasionally links to a nurseries' website. A particularly useful site if you intend to set up your own playgroup, offering comprehensive guidelines and applying advice written for business execs to getting on with playgroup leaders. If you're not interested in setting up a playgroup you can check out the section on starting a baby-sitting co-op, or look at the tips on finding the best playgroup for your child - although, as yet, it isn't much help for finding playgroups in the UK.
Sitters
Established in 1999, Sitters provides a nationwide babysitting service. The beauty of Sitters is that you can use the service both at home or if you are visiting friends or on holiday anywhere else in the country. Parents pay a membership fee of ?12.75 for 3 months (However, mumsnet members are currently offered 6 months membership for the price of 3) and a modest booking fee is payable each time you use the service. The hourly rate of pay for babysitters varies regionally and per day of the week and starts at around the minimum wage.
