Who stocks maternity jeans?

I'm after some black skinny jeans (but not very skinny, I'm probably too old/fat for that) probably in a 12, probably over the bump. Which shops have maternity in store? I seem to recall h&m and new look had a bit last time I was pregnant.

Alternatively, anyone know which stores do free Royal Mail returns? I can't be arsed with couriers/parcel shops.

H&M had skinny black over the bump jeans/'jeggings' (hate that word) last year and I lived in them for most of my pregnancy!

MoonlightMojitos · 04/12/2016 18:07

I just bought 2 pairs from new look in the black Friday sales (black pair and regular jeans blue) over bump skinnies that are super comfortable but I did have to get a 12 and I'm usually a 10 so maybe up a size? Free returns too :)

Alb1 · 04/12/2016 18:09

Next don't have them in store but you can order online, deliver to store for free, collect and try them on in store at the time and if u don't like them return them there and then, I found the over bump 'jeggings' quite comfy last time

ConvincingLiar · 04/12/2016 18:21

Stupid question, do jeggings generally have functioning pockets? I need somewhere for my phone!

Asos do maternity stuff though I ordered some skinny jeans and received them and they went straight back - very cheap feeling and strangely wide around the ankle. Also the over the bump fabric was unsupportive and cheap :(

But I've heard great things about new look and also h and m, and also seraphine which are a bit more pricey.

Jeggings usually have proper back pockets but not front ones :)

Spam88 · 04/12/2016 18:33

I've bought H&M ones which are comfy and feel like good quality. Beware their sizing though - I always have to go a size or two up in jeans.

ConvincingLiar · 04/12/2016 18:36

I might give h&m a go then, I should be able to park outside so it should be just within my limited tolerance for shopping. There's a next on the same retail park so maybe I can click and collect.

I got a pair of black skinny over the bump jeans in Dorothy Perkins (online) and they're great. Really comfy. Also the bump band part can be removed so you can still wear them after the baby has arrived!

plimsolls · 04/12/2016 18:48

H and M (were my favourite maternity jeans) but not in every store
Mothercare (not tried them but have seen in store)
Topshop Oxford Circus (London) has big maternity concession, not sure which other branches have them in store but will say on website

FlipperSkipper · 04/12/2016 18:53

I bought mine in mothercare. If you sign up to their club you get a voucher for 20% off maternity wear.

Callmecordelia · 04/12/2016 18:57

The Next jogging have functioning back pocket, and have been excellent for me this year. I also bought a pair of their maternity straight legs which are under bump, have four functional pockets and I can't stop wearing because they're so comfy, even though I gave birth in March.

Callmecordelia · 04/12/2016 18:58

Jegging! Autocorrect fail.

Celticlassie · 04/12/2016 20:46

I've got some great ones from ASOS, very stretchy and make me look quite slim. They have pockets too.

GreedyDuck · 04/12/2016 21:01

Gap online. They do three different waist options too.

LauraK1987 · 04/12/2016 21:05

I've just bought some black skinnies/jeggings from H&M today on the recommendation of a pregant friend, she said she lives in hers so I have high expectations ha!

iwantaperfectsoul · 04/12/2016 21:14

I had some ok jeans from new look and H&M but Red Herring in Debenhams were my favourite .

ConvincingLiar · 04/12/2016 21:51

You're all great. I'm avoiding Debenhams after I placed a big order last year and they bloody cancelled it because I wanted it delivered to my mum's.

I've been looking forward to getting back into comfy maternity wear and am now so fat that not even my fat jeans will do up.

H&M, Gap, or Seraphine if you're feeling flush Smile

raviolidreaming · 04/12/2016 23:13

New Look always seem to have them in store Smile

LuchiMangsho · 05/12/2016 08:06

Gap. H&M. I had a look at the Mothercare range and it is much poorer quality than Gap. Somewhat disappointing.
I have some Seraphine sweaters and they are amazing.

kiwiblue · 05/12/2016 08:16

Topshop have them in store- I got mine from a central London one.

DeepFriedCamembert · 05/12/2016 11:21

I'm another fan of H&M over-bump skinnies. There are loads for sale on eBay. I tried them on in-store (found I was a size bigger than expected Blush ), then bought 2 pairs on eBay, for about a third of the price

I have just bought today some H&M over the bump skinnies (the tan coloured H&M label on the back) and in a size 10 have to say they are excellent, really nice thick denim and well worth the £29.00 (also good narrow ankle)

Good tip though camambert I hadn't thought of ebay but will check that out as I will want more than one! :)

ConvincingLiar · 05/12/2016 19:44

So h&m store to find out size before checking out eBay!

Debenhams and New Look both have good maternity jeans
