AIBU?

AIBU to even think these are pg symptoms so early?

I'm 14 dpo/possible conception. I ovulate around day 10. AF isn't due for another 7 days. So possibly about 3 wks pregnant.

For the past few days I've been feeling really nauseous, been ravenous, feeling a bit spaced out, smells are v strong and keep getting pains on lower RHS. Spent the morning at an activity trying not to vomit. Have spent the day mooching around the house eating and feeling sorry for myself as I'm not fit for much else.

I know its v early but did a pg test this morn and it was negative.

It feels exactly like pg symptoms, have 3 previous dc's. So am aware of signs.

I just can't get my head around such strong symptoms this early? Is that even possible?

I'm gonna go batty if it's another wk before I can confirm it.

Yeah sounds like it. That wait is horrible though, hang on in there. Fingers crossed!

Ineedtimeoff · 14/11/2015 16:02

I was like you, I just knew almost from conception! I'm sure I even felt the egg implant. Sometimes you just know.

Congratulations! Flowers

They sound like pmt symptoms to me tbh but early pregnancy can feel like that too.
It is too early to get pregnany symptoms no matter what anyone tells you. There's not much happening at this point except a slight rise in hcg.

You can't feel an embryo implant either. Physically impossible.

Wagglebees · 14/11/2015 16:15

But good luck, I hope it has worked for you. Just maybe wait a few days more.

WorraLiberty · 14/11/2015 16:19

You're 14 and you have 3 kids? Confused

Twins!

sparklyDMs · 14/11/2015 16:23

Lol - when I was expecting twins, I was symptomatic at the same stage Wink

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 16:23

I don't get pmt symptoms waggle I've told myself it's too early, but then I know it feels exactly the same as before. Last time I had horrendous exhaustion even before AF was due, (falling asleep while driving and mid conversation) and I knew 100% before I tested. Sickness doesn't usually kick in until 5wks with me.

Are you sure you are only 3 weeks? I thought length of cycle only really affected the pre-ovulation part of the cycle so if you are 14dpo you would be 4 weeks?

InQuiteAPickle · 14/11/2015 16:30

14 days post ovulation Worra! Grin Put your glasses on, ha ha!

OTheHugeManatee · 14/11/2015 16:32

I'm in the same situation, OP. About 7 days to AF, have this manky taste in my mouth, spaced as anything and very low energy. Exactly like last time but no point in testing yet. Going a bit mad here Hmm

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 14/11/2015 16:33

Sounds very like I was with dd. Good luck!
Worra- 14 days dpo/conception, not 14 years old Grin

LovelyBranches · 14/11/2015 16:36

I felt the implantation too and had symptoms. I also had a negative pregnancy test so ignored all symptoms and thought no more. Next month found out I was 2.5 months pregnant

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 16:38

sweet is it not still counted from last period regardless of when u ovulate? I always measure 4/5 days further when I go for my scans. They never change dates though.

manatee hope we both get good news in a week!

Oh, I had no clue what 'dpo' meant Blush

laffymeal · 14/11/2015 16:45

I knew I was pregnant with my DS when I went to take a sip of tea and nearly boaked (I love tea, drink about 8 cups a day). It was about 2 days before my period was due. I waited until a week after that and did a test which was negative, I was still convinced though and did another test about a week after that which finally came up positive.

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 16:46

You've obviously a stranger on the conception boards then worra Grin

WorraLiberty · 14/11/2015 16:48

Yes! Grin

I was so proud too that I worked out what 'RHS' meant and remembered that AF means period.

But I failed on the dpo Blush

Oh I beg to differ. Me and DH were trying for six months before I got pregnant with DS1. The month I got pregnant about 7 days after ovulation, I got a stabbing pain on my right hand side around the womb area. It was quite sharp and extremely distinct like someone was poking me in a very specific spot with a knitting needle. It went on for about 5 - 10 minutes. The next day I had a bruised feeling down there.

I was tracking my BBT and from that point onwards, my chart went triphasic and yes, that month I got a positive pregnancy test.

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 16:54

That's interesting roses that's exactly what mine felt like, I don't think I had that the previous times. It was like an electric shock or nerve type pain, as opposed to a dull achey pain.

lborgia · 14/11/2015 16:56

Well its all very well to deal in absolutes but you know, everyone is different.

1st pg,tested positive 10dpo, felt rough/smells making new nauseous etc and feeling as if I'd pulled something every time i coughed or sneezed Grin

And I know when I ov because I get mittelschmerz pain.

Hope it works out which ever way you wish Flowers

Definitely could be pg symptoms. Implantation tends to be between 6-10 dpo, and you're on 14 dpo, so totally possible that you're experiencing symptoms already. I did for at least a week before I could test, both times (and sounds like you have a similar length cycle to me).

If AF is due in 7 days, I'd recommend getting a very sensitive pg test (Superdrug own brand or First Response are the most sensitive) and testing in 3 days' time, as they can be used from 4 days before you are due.

ChatEnOeuf · 14/11/2015 17:04

At 14 dpo you would possibly get a positive now?

Just to fuel the fire, I've been pregnant four times, symptoms always started at around 6w. Except the time it was twins, then I tested early because I nearly threw up when I smelt some crab in a restaurant.

waxweasel · 14/11/2015 17:07

That's a good point actually. If you had a standard 28 day cycle where you ovulated on day 14, your period would be due today anyway (14 dpo). So the extra days dpo in your longer cycle are surely sort of irrelevant in terms of needing to wait.
