"Great for glamping, in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country…"
This is a small, family owned and run site. The owners and wardens couldn't have been more helpful. We were camping for a weekend and had a good spot. The only downside is the site is situated in a valley and it did get very windy when we were there.<br>There was a lot of rain too, but the site drained really well.<br>There is a small farm with donkeys, rabbits and alpacas. There is a brilliant fort style climbing frame and playground. Onsite there is a small shop and cafe, serving breakfast and homemade pizzas.<br>The shower facilities are great! Three showers, two rooms with baths in the ladies. A family bathroom and a sauna. There were also hot tubs available to hire with the wigwams.<br>The prices weren't that cheap, but given the qualities and friendliness of the site it was worth paying extra.<br>There's also an outdoor pool in Haltwhistle and lots of nice pubs near by.Read moreLess
