"Great for glamping, in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country…"
This is a small, family owned and run site. The owners and wardens couldn't have been more helpful. We were camping for a weekend and had a good spot. The only downside is the site is situated in a valley and it did get very windy when we were there.
There was a lot of rain too, but the site drained really well.
There is a small farm with donkeys, rabbits and alpacas. There is a brilliant fort style climbing frame and playground. Onsite there is a small shop and cafe, serving breakfast and homemade pizzas.
The shower facilities are great! Three showers, two rooms with baths in the ladies. A family bathroom and a sauna. There were also hot tubs available to hire with the wigwams.
The prices weren't that cheap, but given the qualities and friendliness of the site it was worth paying extra.
There's also an outdoor pool in Haltwhistle and lots of nice pubs near by.Read moreLess
