Brockwell Woods

This is a real find.

I was after a back to basics campsite for a weekend away with my 2 sons aged 6 and 4, where we could build fires, explore in the woods, make dens and chill out. This fits the bill in every way.

The owners Steph and Ike are lovely, friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as good as it can be. The pitches are varied in location, whether you can drive to them or need to walk through the woods and can accommodate a range of party sizes from 1 so several tents. The caveat to this is that there are no facilities at all - you are given a map to your suggested pitch (although you are free to choose another if they are not busy), a shovel to dig your toilet, a saw to cut up wood for a fire and a water carrier. Then you are on your own! The damage is
