Upwood

A lovely camp site. It has quite a small area for tents, with more room given to caravans. However, they offer camping pods - these are great value, and you can have them furnished or unfurnished.

The site has excellent toilet facilities with music piped into the toilets. The showers are quite weak though, and not great for washing long hair.

The site has a small shop for essentials. It also has a pub and restaurant on site - this is very good value for money. We enjoyed a tribute act on Saturday night and they regularly put on entertainment. It has a small playground for the kids.

It can get very windy as it is quite high up so make sure you guy out well.

It is very reasonably priced and our pitch was lovely with superb views. You are only a short drive from Howarth which is a lovely village.
