"We stayed in a Eurotent, which is hardly camping at"
08-Aug-2009
We stayed in a Eurotent, which is hardly camping at all! Fantastic when you have a little one as there's already more than enough to fill a car and roof box without bringing the tent, table, stove, etc. The facilities were excellent - free showers (the previous review must be quite old, although it's £5 for the week to use the family bathrooms and shower rooms, but they were always clean). The beach is wonderful and very toddler friendly with a shallow stream and lots of shelter. The walk down isn't buggy friendly though - if you have a backpack then this is the place for it! The pool was great and the toddler pool was very warm. We loved it!

"mmm well I have to admit this was a bigger"
05-Jul-2008
mmm well I have to admit this was a bigger site than we usually go to and we did go in August- so bear that in mind when reading this!
The staff at reception were great and first impressions are good - nicely presented, modern reception area - however once we were escorted to our pitch by the moped we struggled to see how we could fit our tent on it - we had to cross guys with the tent next door and we were across a grassy road looking straight into someone elses tent. The site is noisy too, lots of groups of families clearly go back year after year. The shower block was crowded (and therefore not very clean)all the time, and you had to pay 20p for the showers - there as just one family bathroom for the whole site too.
On the positive, the pool was nice if rather small and the local beach is stunning, it also helped that we had fantastic weather.
Great location for visiting Padstow and the Eden Project - but be aware that a coastal site with a pool atrracts a very different kind of clientele than an inland site.
oh and it's not cheap!Read moreLessMumsnetter Lucycat

"If you have reservations about camping, come here. A brilliant"
19-Jul-2007
If you have reservations about camping, come here. A brilliant family site with fabulous facilities. Even though it's a large site, it is divided into fairly small fields and there are plenty of facilities. We never had to queue to use the facilities in two weeks. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. There's a fabulous, sandy beach a few minutes walk from the site, although you can easily spend the entire holiday on the site as there's so much to do.
