"We have just returned from Treveague Farm (nr St Austell).…"
20-Aug-2011
We have just returned from Treveague Farm (nr St Austell). The position of the campsite is great, with beautiful views and walks down to fabulous, unspoilt beaches, plus easy access to loads of lovely beaches, harbour towns, etc. The main negative point is the difficulty to buy food locally. The nearest supermarket is in St Austell and the campsite sells only meat from its own farm ... nothing else for proper cooking. Presumably this is because they want you to eat in their (overpriced and very average) restaurant rather than cater for yourself. It's a shame ... if the campsite had a decent shop, our whole experience would have been much more pleasant as we would have spent less time driving miles for food shopping every other day. My advice: stock up well each time you pass through St Austell, and make sure you have a good cool box as the one small fridge is not enough for a whole campsite! Also, if you want a flat pitch, book one of the pitches in the main field. The overspill (unbookable) fields are very hilly.

We have had the most delightful weekend away in yurt. Polly and AJ were incredibly accomodating and kind. Everthing we could possibly want laid on and more. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful comfortable yurts, nice clean facilities and kitchen. Safe site, lovely welcome basket including clotted cream and home made scones.
