"All our Family loved it…"
01-Feb-2013
16 of us went to celibrate grandparents special birthday and we therefore rented both of the quiet sites cottages. They have an interlinking door which is a really good idea. Very geared up for the whole family, excellent facillities and very friendly staff. Highlights on site were the bar with its soft play room, the sunken trampoline, the playfield but most of all the area, which must rate as one of Englands best. Will return to the site but with a humble tent!

"Great location…"

Stayed in one of the pods for 2 nights. Site is in a beautiful location. Showers / toilets / washing up facilities all very good. On-site pub OK, had a roaring open fire which was appreciated and a little soft-play area off one end, but was a bit rowdy with minimal parental supervision. Not ideal if you have very little ones. The pods were in the middle of the camping / caravan pitches but still a great adventure for the children.

Fantastic camping site for the family. Facilities all modern and spotless and include bathrooms, wonderful old bar and large play area for the children.
Ullswater is unspoilt and breathtaking.
Have been coming to this park for many years and like the people who use it.
We noticed a number of camping Pods on our last visit which we may try this winter as they have heaters and look very snug.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

Pros:
Clean facilities including steaming hot showers and family bathrooms
Large play area and indoor soft play
Pub on site!
Lovely setting and only about 10 minutes off the M6.
Cons:
Beware that the main field is on quite a slope so if you are booking in advance try to get one of the terraced pitches.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

loved this site, we had a great pitch on the terrace. It has a great bar, a play area for the kids, a useful shop, very clean plentiful facilities and beautifully situated.

"This September myself and 3 friends stayed in Watermillock cottage,…"
25-Jan-2010
This September myself and 3 friends stayed in Watermillock cottage, one of the Quiet Site's holiday cottages. The cottage, an old farmhouse, was absolutely idyllic. It had been renovated and had all the style and comfort we could wish for, there was even an aga. All the bedrooms were lovely, bright and spotless with luxurious beds and an excellent unique bathroom. The cottage shares access to the back garden with Ivy cottage (the holiday cottage next door) but we had it to ourselves. The garden is secluded and well cared for with tables and chairs outside. The garden would be great for kids it has a sunken trampoline and a playhouse with lights!
We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. The site is in the most beautiful location, the scenery was absolutely stunning. We went on lots of walks, visited the picturesque lakeside towns and relaxed! I would thoroughly recommend the site and the holiday cottages to anyone, we couldn't have wanted more. The cottages even have wi-fi for those who need to keep in touch with the real world. The site staff were all friendly and helpful, there is even a little site shop and an amazing bar that is not to be missed!
This site was extremely child friendly, there is also a park and a meadow area where kids are entirely safe. In the summer many families return year after year to this site with their children so kids can make 'summer' friends. Absolutely perfect!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Can not believe that no one has recommended this site yet! It is very family friendly; free bathrooms, playfields and a fantastic family bar. The staff are all very helpful and the location is great. Not a commercial site but it suits our family very well. Make sure you select one of the terraced pitches as the standard ones are on a slope. The views are breathtaking.
Walks start from the site and a free sheet is handed out when you arrive.Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.
