"We went here for a weekend recently and enjoyed it…"

We went here for a weekend recently and enjoyed it a lot. We had a very warm welcome from the campsite's owner and he also helped us upgrade to an enclosed pitch which was great.
The DCs liked the chickens wandering around and were very taken by the pigs (you can buy bacon/sausages/eggs etc at the mainhouse). Chickens were kept in at night so we weren't woken up by them. The facilities were basic but extremely clean and had recently been upgraded. There were only two toilets and two showers but it is a small site and we didn't have to wait at all.
Pitch was great, very flat and gorgeous views across the valley. A bit rocky but not enough to be a problem.
Nearby Tavistock is a lovely town to explore and has a large Morrison's for all your shopping needs. Morwellham Quay is close and a great visit. Also Buckland Abbey and Cotehele are nearby, good visits if you like the National Trust!
