This is second visit this march. Staff extremely helpful and only to willing to please. Facilities extremely clean and warm with most delightful piped music. Just outside site local bus stop Poole or Weymouth. Just a short walk away a most pleasant local pub with a fantastic menu St. Peter's finger. Rebooked again for another visit later this year. Would highly recommend.

"Everything you could possibly need or wish for…"
20-Aug-2012
This is home from home. I know other reviewers have said the same but the facilities and staff are absolutely first class. I was amazed to find basins, cloths and dish drainers at the washing up area; a baby bath, toddler toilet seat, step stool and hair washing equipment in the marvellous family shower/toilet cubicle and the shop has fresh eggs and bread in abundance. You can even order a newspaper.

"Best kept secret in Dorset…"
21-Jun-2012
South Lytchett Manor has got to be the best site we have ever stayed on. Upon arrival, weather not good, was asked if our caravan was foreign with the door on the opposite side. When we said yes they asked if we would like help to put it on pitch as it had to be turned around. We said yes and no sooner had we reached our pitch the man was there to help us. Nothing was too much trouble. The site is so clean, the showers (free) and toilets spotless and even had 2 hairdryers. The pitch was in the Randals Field which was a small area of about 14 - 16 pitches, well spaced. Each pitch had its own post with light, tap, electric socket and tv aerial point where you just plugged your tv lead into and didnt need your own aerial. The pitch was hard standing (stones) and also had a large grass area next to every one with a picnic bench. The Elsan point was stainless steel with a flushing device and a grey waste. This was all very clean and sectioned off. Theres a small games room, shop and a chicken enclosure so you could buy fresh eggs.
A dog walk is available and is fenced off so the dogs cant get into the camping areas. All very neat and tidy. Everything is well thought out and staff very friendly. There was staff to escort people to their pitches. We walked to the local pub, theres shops not far down the road as well.
Everything was well thought out and we would definately go back again.Read moreLessMumsnetter randles

"We're just back from 12 nights here and it was…"
28-Aug-2011
We're just back from 12 nights here and it was a fantastic place to stay. The loo block is lovely - there are jay-cloths on the basins to wipe round after you've cleaned your teeth etc, hairdriers (free), fresh flowers!, a family room and a mop that you are expected to use after your shower.
The block us cleaned at 7am, 10 am, closed for 2 hours over lunch for through clean, then gone over twice again before bedtime. The fact that it is pretty much spotless means that everyone respects it (nearly everyone) and cleans after themselves.
The staff are really, really nice and ever so helpful.
There's a hen area where you can feed your veg scraps, a pick your own herb bed, a laptop work station (for your own laptop), a well stocked shop and a children's play area and pond. You can have Indian and Chinese delivered and there's a pub a short walk away where you can get a free bottle of wine.
The pitch was massive and you have to park cars between each tent (fire precaution)
Very handy for Poole, Bournemouth, New Forest and other Dorset towns. Beaches at Studland are very easily accessible and lovely.
The only bad thing about the whole experience was the blardy weather!!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"We love this site! It is by far the best…"
20-Jul-2011
We love this site! It is by far the best family site we have been to.
I have 2girls 18mths and 4yrs. The facilities are immaculate, staff amazing (friendly, helpful, & happy)lots of attractions close by, and Studland beach about 20-30min drive away where you can spend all day on the beach - National trust so well kept toilets & nice cafe.
Pitches on site are very well maintained, grass cut short, play area good and looked after. Great chickens on site in a run, can give them left overs or get bag of food from on-site shop for donation to local hospice. Toilets always amazingly clean and always hot water, will be going back for many yearsRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Really liked it. The cleanest toilets and bathrooms I've ever…"
07-Jun-2011
Really liked it. The cleanest toilets and bathrooms I've ever seen on a campsite. Family bathrooms with all the equipment you could need for baby/toddler. Adventure playground was great for 6 and 4 year olds. We went on a Bank Holiday weekend and it did not seem too crowded. Was just a little bit far from Poole and Dorset, so we spent a lot of time in the car getting to the beach.
