We have stayed in a few of the parkdean parks and Ruda is one of our favourites. The staff are very helpful and the park has lots of facilities. Great location.

"We camped. Lovely site right next to the beach, great"
07-Dec-2010
We camped. Lovely site right next to the beach, great for surfing / swimming / paddling. The pitch was lovely with view of beach, the toilets and showers were ok. On site facilities were great especially for young children.

Really great area with superb beach. Excellent surfing. Quite a good restaurant on site, but lovely pubs nearby. Good mini-mart and proper coffee shop!

"We've stayed at Ruda a couple of times and at"
29-Sep-2009
We've stayed at Ruda a couple of times and at other sites in Croyde, so we are able to compare. We stayed the first year in a caravan which was great - really big (4 bedrooms) with good facilities but they are quite pricey, particularly over the bank holiday weekend. The next year we took our tent and stayed on the tent site and it was great. The facilities are clean with free hot showers and our pitch was close by. It doesn't seem to get overcrowded even at peak time. We love Ruda - it's an easy walk to Croyde beach (with a lovely children's playground on-route which is always a good stop-off point when you're carrying the day's beach bags) and also a short walk into the centre of croyde. There is a great indoor splash pool (complete with slide, 'lazy river'and whirlpool) which our kids love and is great for rainy days, plus amusement arcade, 'club-house', cafe, fish and chip shop and supermarket which is really useful as there isn't another in Croyde (for this reason it does get v crowded). If you're after really quiet site then don't go to Ruda - you'd be better off at Cherry Tree Woods up the road, but if you don't mind a bit of noise, arcade-type action then this is a great site. Croyde is a very special place with amazing beaches closeby (don't forget Puttsborough as well as Croyde Beach itself).

"Croyde beach is a great wide beach which is very"
19-Jul-2007
Croyde beach is a great wide beach which is very safe for young kids. It gets very crowded in the pool when it rains. The cafe is a bit 'chipsy' and the shop quite expensive. The site offers BIG pitches and there's a great playroom. Have heard good things about the club but baby too young at the moment. It's quite expensive at £20 per night in August but as my husband's been going there since 1975, we are very sentimental about it. Great surfing and rock pooling on Croyde beach.
