Roadford Reservoir

Campsite attached to the water-sports facility at Roadford Reservoir (near Broadwoodwidger on the A30 to Cornwall). The campsite itself is quite basic although there is a toilet block with showers (we didn't actually try these out).

There's also a barbecue area with picnic tables and built in barbecues. Lots of big fields to camp in, so it should be possible to get a quiet pitch and the area is quite sheltered. Campsite is right next to the lakeside but there are lots of hedges so it should be reasonably safe. You can hire a boat for sailing from the water-sports centre or take your own (also kayaking etc). Excellent for anyone interested in the water-sports. All in all, a nice little campsite but probably a bit basic for anyone who isn't interested in the water-sports.
