"Good facilities but very busy and noisy…"
We've stayed at Park Farm three times over the past couple of years. There is plenty of space and you can just turn up and choose where to pitch your tent. Kids loved the play area with a mini zip wire. We bought logs from the site and had a real cap fire. The facilites are good - showers, washing up area.
My only criticism is that it gets very busy and noisy. Although the camp rules are no music after 11pm there were lots of stereos blaring late at night. And we found other campers to be really inconsiderate e.g. a full-on drunken screaming argument (with lots of swearing) outside our tent at 2am and men drinking Special Brew outside the shower block at 8am! Because of this, we won't be going back again.Read moreLess
"Good experience for first time campers…"
First time family campers.... Dd7 and ds4. Had a great experience for our first camping trip! Good shower and toilet facilities, plenty of hot water, I would have gone home if these were rubbish!. Separate washing up room. Play area with zip/ tyre wire thing. Was really packed over bank holiday, but good atmosphere. Lovely walk to bodiam castle and steam trains. Small stream for older kids to enjoy. Campfires allowed and site seemed very organised. Easy drive from S LondonRead moreLess

"Park Farm Campsite is basically a couple of fields opposite…"
Park Farm Campsite is basically a couple of fields opposite the farm. You can turn up and pitch anywhere you like in the fields - but because they allow campfires, there are a lot of burnt areas of grass to try and pitch around! Prices are very reasonable - paying per person with no limit on number of tents/gazebos/cars.
Toilet and shower facilities were among the cleanest I have encountered on a campsite and water points are easily accessible around the site. There was also a resident Jacket Potato/Bacon Butty man on site the weekend when we went.
One of the fields has a river running along the edge and there is a woodland area adjacent also. The site is a lovely 30 minute walk along the river to Bodiam Castle; and Bewl Water and numerous other attractions are short drives away.
All in all a very pleasant camping experience!!Read moreLess
