"We camped at this site last weekend, just for 2"
12-Aug-2008
We camped at this site last weekend, just for 2 nights and thought it great value for money. At only £9 per night (for 2 adults, 2 little children and a very large tent) it is the cheapest campsite we've stayed on. The showerblock was well lit all night, really clean and even though the site was full I never had to queue for a shower!
Our pitch was grat, although they did squash another tent in quite close, which was a bit annoying, but then our tent took up alot of room. There were sheep across the other side of the fence which our children loved, and a big open grass area in the centre of all the tents purely for playing and not parking/camping.
We drove to the nearby Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and went on a miniture steam train which was fun. The Rare Breeds Centre was only about a 20 minute drive away in Woodchurch, and is fab for little kids as they can get in with the piglets/ sheep and goats and pat them. Lots more to do there if you have the time.Read moreLessMumsnetter PinkStrawberry

"Lovely little site with clean toilets, showers and campers' kitchen."
14-Sep-2007
Lovely little site with clean toilets, showers and campers' kitchen. Couple of nice pubs a short drive away and an Indian that delivers if you don't want to cook. Clearly marked pitches arranged round a central area the kids can play with each other. Dymchurch and Port Lympe Zoo are within driving distance.
