We visited this campsite in early July so out-of-season. The location is fantastic - you can walk to a lovely sheltered beach which our 2 preschoolers loved (they could splash around in the sea, enjoy rockpools etc). There is a steep set of steps to the beach though so be careful and take a backcarrier if you have one. It's a short walk into the village centre where there are several pubs and a fish and chip shop. Also a post office and general stores which both seemed fairly well stocked.
The campsite itself was good, you can't book and choose your own location (most fields are slightly sloping)). Only downside of this was that we woke up on Saturday morning to find two groups camped very close to us indeed despite it not being that busy. There was a playpark for children that was great and the DCs enjoyed that a lot. There were lots of showers and toilets in one block for the site although they were fairly dirty.
Overall we had a fantastic time and the location is sublime but we weren't all that impressed with the campsite itself. Would still go back though and would recommend for a beach break.Read moreLessMumsnetter AlmaMartyr
