"Manor Court Farm is not a campsite for those who…"
28-Jun-2010
Manor Court Farm is not a campsite for those who like swimming pools, children's clubs or on-site bars. But if you like your camping more basic it has a lot to offer. The toilet block is not huge but copes pretty well with volume even on a bank holiday weekend; it has a fridge, power points for recharging mobile phones etc. and metered washing machine and tumble dryer are available.
Pitches are either in one big field devoted to camping or tucked away in a selection of smaller fields/paddocks, and are not marked out so you have a good deal of flexibility. Some of them have EHU although we've never had one of those. There are pits provided for campfires and wood is available from the farmhouse.
There's not a huge amount to do onsite but there's a good opportunity for children to become semi-feral and roam around in packs making new friends and investigating chickens and cats. Manor Court is in very easy reach of a host of places of interest, though -- Groombridge Place, Hever Castle and Penshurst Place are all easy cycle rides (or short car journeys) away and Ashurst station provides easy access to the local rail network.Read moreLessMumsnetter ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave
