"We stayed at Shorefield's quiet resort Lytton Lawn. Although we…"
19-Jul-2007
We stayed at Shorefield's quiet resort Lytton Lawn. Although we were staying in the middle of August the site was quiet and peaceful at all times. The pitches were large, with enough space for a family tent, car, eating area and space for the children to play. All the pitches had fresh water, and electricity points included in the price. The onsite shop was very basic but the supermarket at the nearby site was much better. It was only a five minute drive to the nearest beach (although stony), and you had free use of all the facilities at their sister park, five minutes away. This included entertainments, swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), childrens areas, fishing, tennis courts, beauty spa and much more. However the outdoor heated pool didn't seem to be heated at all. The only thing that I would have recommended was a bus service between the two sites so you didn't need your car. We had taken bikes but the surrounding roads (country lanes with no pavements) were too busy and dangerous for five year old cyclists. We had an excellent time and would recommend it for someone that wants a quiet site but the option to take part in other activities - especially if it is raining.
