"On the rocky east coast of Harris but only 20"
23-Sep-2010
On the rocky east coast of Harris but only 20 mins from the fab beaches, this is a small quirky site built on a hilly croft, so the small number of pitches are quite private and it's very quiet and a bit more sheltered than the west coast.
There's a great converted blackhouse with basic kitchen equipment, a big table, sofas and electric sockets, so there is somewhere to play games, read, or socialise with some wine if the weather or midges are bad!
Very friendly and welcoming, though more expensive than Horgabost (but then the owners make fresh bread daily for campers and you can help yourself to salad crops and eggs if you can find them!).Read moreLessMumsnetter myonlysunshine
