"We've just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay in"
29-Jun-2011
We've just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay in our caravan here. Kelling Heath has benefitted from some changes to it's facilities, including the introduction of 'The Den' for children, which is a great soft play area and games room attached to the main bar and restaurant - perfect for some great family meal times or just a quiet drink for the adults while the children have fun. The food is great and the children's meals great quality and value.
The site itself is lovely, set in woodland with good sized pitches and clean toilets and showers. There is a request stop on the local steam train line, which makes for a lovely little trip into town. The shop is well stocked, the outdoor pool is free to use and is heated (a bit!). But, the camping sites are a reasonable distance from the bars and play areas, so there is not too much noise from them. Also lots of lovely walks, lovely little ponds, play areas and even a trim trail for adults.Read moreLessMumsnetter countrybump

"Kelling Heath is a huge campsite with woods and wildlife"
19-Jul-2007
Kelling Heath is a huge campsite with woods and wildlife to explore. It has its own adventure playground, indoor and outdoor swimming pools (though you have to pay extra to use the indoor pool) and a great programme of activities for the kids. It has its own little train station on the Norfolk Coast Poppy Line to Sheringham, which is a lovely traditional little seaside town. The campsite facilities are excellent, its pizzeria is surprisingly good and the shop stocks everything you may have forgotten -including wine!
