"Great family park in a rural setting…"
We've been going to hurley since being recommended it by friends who are regulars at the village regatta.
Great spot next to the Thames and easy to get to from the motorway. If you have been before you can choose you pitch n advance - we always stay on a pitch in what is now called chestnut field.
The riverfront is a great place for dogs to be worn out as there are mini bays for them to get out of the river.
There is a new playground at the eastern end of the park and some fixed football goals which were always busy.
Middle shower block is great other two are good and always clean.
Staff very friendly, check in is best if you have paid up front.
We have previously stayed in a hire caravan as well and they are very high quality.
2 thumbs up!Read moreLess
"2 awful members of staff ruined our stay…"
We stayed for 2 nights and to say our experience was awful doesn't really cover it. There are 2 members of staff who were abusive and disrespectful to myself and my husband AND other members of our group. 1 female warden hurled abuse aggressively at me in front of our 21 month old daughter. What a vile woman. For a site claiming to be family friendly it's shocking. Don't take your dogs if you stay here as you will be targeted by these members of staff as we were ( and others in our group).
If you have stickers on your car supporting a charity they expect you to find a parking space in the village over a mile away and expect you to walk back along narrow roads with your toddler and dogs..."or go back to bristol" as we were told.
We would not go back and would not recommend to families unless the POW commandant staff issues are resolved.
Showers will scald your children. They are to small. The bins were full and festering in the heat and are located next to the shower and washing up facilities. Not enough dog waste bins.
Other than that it's an excellent place to stay.Read moreLess

"We spent two nights there. Pitch on "Oakfield", I think…"
We spent two nights there. Pitch on "Oakfield", I think it's called. There is a nature trail at the bottom of the field - a small stream and woods - and the kids loved it. Especially good as it was quite hot out in the open. No playground but really didn't need it. Lots of people paddling in the river and picnicking at the field next to the river. Clean showers (and plenty of them) but beware - hot water very hot.
Quiet at night.
Lots of wild rabbits, duck and red kites.
Short walk to perfectly decent pub in Hurley village.Read moreLess

We spent a lovely peaceful few days here in early July last year.
There were lots of wild rabbits and friendly ducks for the kids to coo over.
There are plenty of toilet/shower blocks which are kept very clean, and have family cubicles.Read moreLess

Its not Marlow, it's in Hurley a small village nr Henley on Thames. Lovely campsite also with statics on a seperate site to rent. Riverside location, the park is perfect for picnics, really nice to walk round with a duck/fishing pond. We enjoyed some nice easy bike rides too. We loved it here, stayed for most of last summer with our daughter age 1. There are 2 pubs in the village with more within driving distance.Read moreLess
"Excellent layout, very safe for children to run around. No…"
Excellent layout, very safe for children to run around. No facilities beyond basic, but short walk from the river and not far too nearby villages and towns for pub lunches etc. Very nice indeed. Only criticism is that shower cubicles are too small when you need to shower with children, and the showers are too hot.Read moreLess
