Visited Hollands Wood for the second time in June this year and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Have 2 young children, 4 and half and 2 who loved it. Pitched near the water meadow and woke up to look over it basked in the morning sun, perfect. The toilets got a bit muddy on Saturday morning as it rained over night Friday but not too bad. Kids paddled in the little stream just off site and had a lovely walk into Brokenhurst.

I went here for my first family camping experience. The site was clean and facilities were good.
We are planning on camping again. Would happily recommend this site.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Wonderful location with the unforgettable (for children) bonus of having ponies wandering through your camp. Lots of space to play, trees and bushes between pitches. Very pleasant campsite

We love this site, a great 'back to nature' site in the middle of the New Forest.
Not much to do in terms of provided activities but the boys loved playing by the (extremely shallow) stream and watching the ponies.
Toilets / laundry etc basic but very clean.
Some pitches can get boggy in the wet; would avoid on bank holidays unless you can arrive on the Thursday, some cliquey campers got a bit sharp with us because we had 'their' oitch.
Good pitches are first come first served.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

In the heart of the New Forest with the picturesque town of Brockenhurst a ten minute walk away (albeit along a busy road). The wooded campsite is adjacent to the heathland and night strolls with torches thrilled the children. Close encounters with New Forest ponies were sometimes a bit too close for comfort - we didn't anticipate our frying pan being licked clean! It is peaceful during the week but can get lively at the weekends and very busy at bank holidays. There is lots of room for children to play, the washrooms were very clean when we stayed and there is bike hire nearby.
