"Wonderfully managed - great site ideal for long weekend…"
21-Aug-2012
To start with the weather was fantastic plus we were staying there as it was the closest site to the Blenhiem Bike festival (also wonderful). We took the caravan and had a great pitch luckily not backing onto the playground as it was noisey. The pitch was ample big enough and great frontage hence not right onto the road. Lovely cotswold stone driveway. All electric pitches so great news. Lovely little animal area, great park (could get noisey and rough with lots of boys). The toilet block was great with powerful showers, bath and professional hairdryer, lovely wash-up area, washing machines, microwave and tiny shop/reception. Many of the caravan pitches were taken up with long term rent hence some areas with no inhabitabts, Didnt have time to go into Charlbury but not walkable with small children. Good location for visiting lots of lovely towns and attractions. Great site for long weekend. Not suitable for a quiet time as it was lively and full of children (and dogs). We will be returning for another family event at Blenhiem next year and would like to return.

"Lovely clean and friendly site.…"

We stayed here with friends and had 2 great sized pitches next to each other fairly near the playground which was handy for the children. Facilities always warm and clean - there was a veg prep room with microwave etc in which we didn't use but thought was a good idea. Nice walk down into the village where there are a couple of good pubs, but a bit of an uphill trek back to the site after a few! Shop small but stocked the basics - excellent fresh bread and croissants need to be ordered the day beforehand.

This is a big site, divided into several fields. There are two or three play areas, as well as a games room and a toddler play area. We also enjoyed the skittles room - as did our little boy - and the outdoor draughts and chess. The only trouble is because it is so big, if you have smaller children you'll spend all your time watching that they are not going across the campsite road to go to the play area. Best for families in groups who can nominate an adult or two to accompany children. We went at the end of half term and found it very cramped - the pitches are not that big and we were surrounded on all sides. However, coming back from a day out on the Sunday our tent was alone in the field! Lovely walks around the site which were great for our four-year-old to cycle around and animals to see too. Friendly people in shop and fresh bread and croissants available every morning. Lots to recommend it, but just avoid at busy times if you can! Not for you if you like really quiet sites with lots of space.

A quiet and beautiful setting for a campsite with good size pitches.
Good facilities - clean loos, hot showers, play parks for children and a shop which sells fresh bread and wi-fi.
The campsite also has animals for children to go and visit. All in all, a great family campsite.Read moreLessMumsnetter cfccfc

Great location, lovely clean well-maintained campsite. Run by very friendly staff. Has a shop selling fresh croissants in the mornings - a real treat. Loads to do within easy distance and beautiful countryside around. The site is set on a farm, so is great for young kids.Plenty of walks/nature trails that are easily manageable for children. Also playground, games room and tennis courts, so plenty to do for older kids too. We hardly saw ours the whole weekend.
