"Really nice, clean campsite with hot showers (50p), sinks for"
10-Sep-2010
Really nice, clean campsite with hot showers (50p), sinks for washing dishes, a shop, a really cosy cafe/restaurant in a converted barn. What attracted us most was that there is a no noise policy after 10.30pm so you don't get rowdy groups. Also, it's in my favourite place in the Lakes, Derwentwater, Keswick.

"Breathtaking views over North West Fells. The toilet blocks are"
19-Jul-2007
Breathtaking views over North West Fells. The toilet blocks are immaculate - the best I've found and immaculate. The site also has a 'campers' kitchen' with hobbs and microwaves and a place to eat your food, which was great when it rained, a well-stocked shop and cafe selling English breakfast. Keswick (just a short walk away) is an idea base for families with lots to do even on the wet days. We loved the whole holiday, and my seven year old son said "this is the best week of my life, mum!"
