"Just back from two last minute nights here. Really lovely"
04-Jun-2011
Just back from two last minute nights here. Really lovely basic site with friendly helpful owners who trusted us to pay as we left for site and gas as we had no money when we arrived! £14 pn for 2 adults and one 12 yr old with dog. Really good value for money. Loved the park anywhere policy, my advice is field next to woods if you have a dog, and the loo block is near enough to all fields. No complaints about facilities - they are basic but that's what we came for. Plenty of hot water out of peak times and loads of showers and sinks/loos.
you can have a campfire in the field nearest the road and most people did. Buy the wood there £4.50 for a weekend's worth. Marshmallows £1!
With young kids you could stay on site all weekend if you have enough food but the next campsite (kelling heath) has a shop which we used when we ran out of milk. Bike or walk to the beach at Weybourne (kelling heath rents bikes and trailers/buggies). Weybourne beach is pebbles and great coastal walks and a van selling tea/coffee and kitkats! Pubs nearby and weybourne shop/deli/cafe does cappacino and cakes plus good ready meals by the look of it.
Cromer for fish n chips on the beach and crab.
We will be back for a longer stay!Read moreLessMumsnetter overthemill

"Spent 4 days here in August 2010. Owners were very"
02-Sep-2010
Spent 4 days here in August 2010.
Owners were very friendly and helpful, lovely fresh produce to buy on an honesty system (courgettes, homemade jam, eggs, potatoes), and firewood for sale. Campfires are allowed, which is lovely.
Owners were very keen to point out that noise must stop at 9pm but it's not enforced, and group bookings are allowed, so the inevitable parties round the campfire happen at night. Bring earplugs if you like a quiet sleep.
There are 3 small freezers for ice blocks, but they are opened and closed so often and so many blocks are crammed in that ours weren't even cold after 48 hours, so take stuff that doesn't need keeping cool unless you want to use electric hook up, but the areas for these are right next to the toilet block and you can't have campfires there.
Showers are fine - 50p for a token in the farmhouse - if you want a nice shower and hairwash without rushing take 2 tokens. Also take loo roll - the toilets were cleaned daily but did keep running out.
Pitches are flat and you can pitch anywhere, and the whole place has a lovely relaxed feel about it. In the summer the ice cream van calls daily!
Good price too - we paid £8 for the tent and £2 per person, per night.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"A basic no nonsense, clean functioning quiet friendly site! We"

A basic no nonsense, clean functioning quiet friendly site!
We aren't really fans of pools and playgrounds and bustling sites, so this was perfect. It is also cheap and we will definitely be returning.
Set on a working farm where they are a friendly bunch, lovely farm eggs available to buy and potatoes too!
Huge site so you can pretty much choose where you want to pitch.Read moreLessMumsnetter maxybrown

"We camped here for a weekend in May. It was"
18-Jul-2009
We camped here for a weekend in May. It was our first family camping trip so we were a little unsure as to what to expect. However we throughly enjoyed our stay at Breck Farms, it is fair to say that the facilities are quite basic(no play area, coin Showers) but the cost is also very resonable. Staff were pleasant on our arrival. All in all a good first trip camping.

"Stayed here 4 times now and we love it. Okay,"
26-Jan-2009
Stayed here 4 times now and we love it. Okay, the facilities aren't brilliant, but you can pitch where you want, you are surrounded by woodland and it's an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Evening camp fires are the best bit by far. Plenty of space for ball games etc too. I'd say the pros outweigh the cons hugely.

Horrible. 4 ladies toilets for about 1000 campers, 2 showers for everyone. always queues and they were dirty. The only good thing about the site is you can have camp fires
