Movie Park

We went to Movie Park in Bottrop, Germany a few months ago and kept meaning to add a review.

Who went: Me, hubby and our 4 year old daughter

Price: Around 130 Euros for all inclusive tickets - park entry, unlimited food and drink in quite a few food outlets.

We arrived quite early, wanting to make the most of the AI tickets and get some breakfast, parked up entered the park. We went to one of the food outlets at the back of the park who then told me I had to go to the office right at the front of the park to get wristbands. This was a pain and would have helped if it says this on the website.

Anyhoo, the park itself. Well, it was very good. They have Nick Jr land there so loads for the kids to do. Dora's River log flume, Spongebob's Splash Bash, a couple of little roller-coasters, bumper cars, smaller rides for the not so brave toddlers. You will get absolutely soaked so I definitely recommend waterproofs! There are vending machines for them though if you forget. There are photo ops and little shows with Dora and Spongebob which my daughter loved.

They have some great adult rides though we didn't use them as we did kind of get stuck in Nickland thanks to the little one.

The food was ok, what you'd expect from a theme park really, all burgers and chips. The prawn burger was lovely though! There are loads of food outlets, we stuck to the AI ones but there are some restaurants, a Subway etc.

The stunt show was good, my daughter was completely amazed at people falling off roofs and the big explosions.

One downside is that there are way too many shops.

All in all it was a really good day and if the weather had been better (it rained allllll day) it would have been brilliant.
